The renewed interest in Vesalius’ texts and drawings is illustrated in this publication. Over de auteur Robrecht Van Hee studied medicine at Gent University. He became a surgeon in Breda and Nijmegen, where he obtained a PhD in medicine. He taught at Antwerp University and specialised in transplantation and endocrine surgery. He also taught medical history, in this field he speciliased in the medical history of the Low Countries in the 16th century. He is the author of over 400 publications and member of the editorial board of Journal of Medical Biography and Studium.
